Roof pictures

The journey to the roof of the MCS can be a dangerous one. There are two stairways that lead to the roof, one on the east side of the building, and one on the west. Both have endured a great deal of deterioration, thus resulting in bad steps here and there. It is my guess that the west side stairway is the more traveled. I draw this conclusion from the amount of grafitti that lines its walls compared to the east stairway. Also there are windows on each level that let in light. The eastern stairway is very dark in comparison.

In the center of this pic you can see Tiger Stadium, and downtown Detroit on the right. Looking towards the east.
This is the view from the large chimney on the roof looking towards Windsor, Ontario. Looking towards the southeast.
I took the camera and held it over the edge of the roof looking straight down, resulting in this pic.
This is what you see as soon as you make it to the 18th floor from the west stairway. Someone was kind enough to spraypaint 'roof' on this pillar to help people find thier way!
Here you can see downtown Detroit on the left and to the right of that you can see Windsor, Ontario. Looking more towards the southeast of the Tiger Stadium picture.
Here you can see the Ambassador Bridge, the bridge that links Detroit and Canada. Looking towards the Southwest.

Here is some grafitti on the roof. This is right under where the smokestack is...not very hard to miss!

This is me climbing the 2 story smokestack on the roof.

This is some intricate architecture on the very top of the building, 18 stories up.
